February 24, 2024 @ 12:30 pm – “Rabbi Zeira and the Hooligans: Dealing with difficult people” We will be looking at a story from the Talmud and some related teachings from Pirkei Avot about whether to draw close to or distance oneself from bad people. All are welcome to attend.
February 25, 2024 @ 10:30 am – Those in the 20 & 30 somethings group are invited to attend a discussion about Israel over brunch with Josh Klein. February 25, 2024 @ 4:00 pm – Come cook and learn together! We’ll learn about different Jewish communities through the foods they prepare for Purim, Pesach, and Shavuot. Once a month we’ll have a cooking class focused on the cuisine from a specific Jewish community. March 1, 2024 @ 6:00 pm – On Friday night, March 1, 2024, hundreds of synagogues across the continent will take part in an historic national Jewish event to celebrate what unifies all Jews — Shabbat! Everyone is invited… singles, couples, families — all ages. We look forward to seeing you at Temple Beth El. Candles are being lit at 5:42pm.
March 4, 2024 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm – This is an adult education class on Musar, a Jewish spiritual practice that gives instructions on how to live a meaningful and ethical life. There will be three sessions over the month of March held in the Beit Café. Registration is requested.
March 9, 2024 @ 9:30 am – Join Men’s Club for their Shabbat Service, an annual event where TBE’s Men’s Club celebrates their synagogue engagement and the importance of community. This service will feature BE.WISE students in grades K-2. Kiddush to follow.
