Temple Beth El has been in existence since 1915 and was the first Conservative Synagogue in Rochester. The Temple’s current location was established in 1952 and added to in 1962.
The Temple currently provides services and activities to nearly 2,600 congregants, representing approximately 800 families. Our membership provides a rich cross-section of Jewish life and life-styles; including a range of ages from birth to members in their 90’s, all socio-economic levels and many Jews from other countries.
Our synagogue community and its membership have evolved over these many years and offers a warm and enthusiastic welcome to its new members. In addition to the enclosed materials, tours are available upon request and may be arranged through the Temple office.
