Inclusion Committee

The TBE Inclusion Committee meets throughout the year to discuss ways to make TBE more inclusive from our Limmud Education Program, to how we conduct services, and our facilities, the inclusion committee works to make Temple Beth El a welcoming community for everyone. Some of their recent work has included:

• Organizing Speakers for Jewish Disability Awareness and Inclusion Month and for Autism Awareness Month
• Working with the Matan Institute to train Limmud and Keshet staff
• Providing Quiet Rooms at all major synagogue events
• Working with the TBE Youth Committee
• Organizing a Congregation trip to the Reel Minds Film Festival
• Organizing a Congregation trip to a Documentary Screening at the University of Rochester
• Participating in Guess Who’s Coming to Shabbas with local group homes
• Chairing Inclusion night during Hanukkah
