UPCOMING CALENDAR/SCHEDULE

Shabbat, May 24         THERE WILL BE NO JUNIOR CONGREGATION THIS WEEK due to the Memorial Day Holiday.

Sunday, May 25          NO SCHOOL TODAY – Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Tuesday, May 27        YES, SCHOOL WILL BE HELD TODAY

Wednesday, May 28   YES, SCHOOL WILL BE HELD TODAY

Sunday, June 1            LAST DAY OF SCHOOL, WHICH BEGINS AT 10:30!

 

DON’T BE STUCK WITH SNACK CART TICKETS!

As the last week of school approaches, don’t forget that snack tickets from this year cannot be used next year.  Make sure you use up all your tickets on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.  Please note that on Sunday, June 1 , our last day of school, the snack cart will NOT be open as our PTO will instead be treating us to our end of year “weenie roast.”

 

DON’T LET YOUR KIDS FORGET THE GRUBER MALL

As I’m sure you know by now, our 2^nd through 7^th graders collect special Gruber Gelt (red) each semester for going above and beyond the call of duty.  This is one of the many ways we motivate and reward our students.  During the last week of the semester, the students use their red gelt to go shopping in “HaKenyon Gruber” (the Gruber Mall) for cheesy little trinkets.  It never fails to amaze me how even our 7^th graders LOVE junk from Oriental Trading Company!

 

So don’t let your kid be disappointed because he/she left their gelt at home.  Please remind them to bring them with them to school on either Tuesday, May 27 or Wednesday, May 28.

 

GRADUATION REHEARSALS – DON’T LET YOUR CHILDREN MISS THEM\

As you parents of 7^th graders (and Machon graduates) were informed in a recent mailing, it is very important that your children attend graduation rehearsal so they know what to do, how to stand, etc… at our upcoming graduation.  So, this is just a friendly reminder….7^th Grade rehearsal is scheduled during Religious School this coming Tuesday, May 27.  Machon rehearsal is scheduled for Thursday, May 29 at 4 pm.  Thanks for your cooperation.

 

ABOUT THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Everyone should have received a regular mailing regarding our last day of school, which includes our Arts Festival and a PTO sponsored free weenie roast!!!  Please make sure you read it carefully and in full, so you know what to expect from us and what we would like to expect from you.

 

 

REMEMBER THAT SCHOOL IS IN SESSION FOR ONE WEEK AFTER MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND.  THERE WILL BE REGULAR CLASSES ON TUESDAY, MAY 27 AND WEDNESDAY, MAY 28.  OUR LAST DAY OF SCHOOL WILL BE OUR ARTS FESTIVAL AND HOT DOG PICNIC ON SUNDAY, JUNE 1.  MORE INFO TO FOLLOW!!!
